The UCLA Ziman Center is pleased to partner with The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation to establish The UCLA Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Program in Real Estate, Finance and Urban Economics. The purpose of the UCLA Gilbert Program is to produce and disseminate through its scholars and fellows high-quality, publishable cutting-edge research.

The UCLA Gilbert Program will also convene related symposia, conferences and programs in real estate, real estate finance and urban economics and associated policy topics such as capital markets, housing and mortgage markets, macroeconomics and the regional economy, land use, environmental sustainability, urban transportation, municipal finance and the regulatory environment.

The UCLA Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Program in Real Estate, Finance and Urban Economics is made possible by a generous gift from  The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation, which is committed to providing and connecting resources to organizations that promote and improve health, education, economic, and cultural opportunities to communities in California and Israel.

Gilbert Foundation Real Estate Research Fund

The UCLA Gilbert Foundation Real Estate Research Fund supports a community of leading university-based scholars who undertake research in areas of real estate, finance and urban economics. Center affiliated faculty are drawn from departments and schools across the UCLA campus, including finance and management, economics, law, public policy, urban planning, engineering, architecture, geography and others, for the purpose of generating high-quality and impactful multidisciplinary research. Gilbert sponsored research may be viewed and/or downloaded at the Ziman Center's Working Papers webpage.

Additionally, UCLA's Gilbert Foundation Real Estate Research Fund sponsors the UCLA Economic Letter, a monthly research communication of the UCLA Anderson Forecast and the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate. The Letter provides new insights into the major economic and real estate concerns of the day in a quickly digestible format. It draws upon original research, policy analysis and forecasts produced by UCLA academics and Forecast economists to address the most pressing issues confronting us all.

Gilbert Foundation Visiting Scholars and Fellows Program

The Gilbert Foundation Visiting Scholars and Fellows Program develops the next generation of renowned real estate academics by recruiting and engaging senior scholars, UCLA graduate students, doctoral and post-doctoral candidates in the field of real estate, finance and urban economics to produce original, high-quality, and publishable research.
