"
I chose the UCLA Anderson MFE program because it is among the most academically competitive programs of higher education nationwide. The program provides a lot of resources to support students to learn effectively. It encourages us to grow as individuals and professionals and to become successful in whatever endeavors we decide to take on during our time at UCLA and beyond.
The diverse student body is also something that the program prides itself on, and it is something I truly admire. You will meet and work with focused and goal-driven students from many different backgrounds.
The program’s strong curriculum focuses on offering courses that are not only practical, but also reflect the demands of a competitive and constantly evolving job market.
With my background in actuarial science and mathematics, I want to have a deep understanding of mathematical and computational finance. In the UCLA MFE program, we are prepared with real-world financial engineering problems, where we can analyze real data and put the rigorous quantitative, analytical and statistical methods we learned into practice. This enables us to think critically and expand our knowledge through hands-on projects.
Lastly, being a part of UCLA Anderson helps us connect with professionals and academics every day, learning from their experience, improving our soft skills and growing our network."
