Mark holds an MBA and MA in Sports Administration as well as a Diploma in University Teaching from the University of New Brunswick (Canada). He has served as a in Sports Business Professor at UCLA Anderson’s Center for Media, Entertainment and Sports since 2011, and is also serving as an academic advisor to educational technology company, Athleta-Ed. Mark is also course developer and professor for the MBA program in Hockey Business at the Business of Hockey Institute for Athabasca University in Edmonton.  He also had the privilege of acting as the Lead Instructor for UCLA Extension’s Custom Programs in Sports & Entertainment Marketing in Shanghai, China in 2016, and served in a similar capacity for Jiaotong University of Shanghai in 2018. Mark also teaches Sports Law and Sports Finance at Concordia University Irvine. Mark serves on the Board of Advisors for the Sport Management program at California Lutheran University and for IMPACT Internship LLC.

In addition to his professional academic work, Mark also boasts a wealth of consulting experience through his consulting company, MARK ONE Sports & Entertainment, whose clients have included Athleta-Ed, Edwards Technologies International, Panasonic, Business of Hockey Institute, California Center, BaAM Productions, Concordia University Irvine and UC Irvine.

Mark has in depth experience at all levels of Sports & Entertainment with significant expertise in fan/guest engagement technologies and large-scale event management and marketing. He speaks regularly on numerous topics related to the business of sports, hi-lighted by the 2019 Keynote presentation on the NCAA College Admissions Scandal, 2019 Future of Sports Conference with the LA Chargers, 2019, PrimeTime Sports Management Conference (Toronto), 2018 Keynote Presentation for Sport BC AGM, 2017 UCLA Anderson Big Data Conference, 2015 Gravity Summit & UCLA Sports Technology Panel, 2014 SATE Conference in Themed Entertainment, 2014 LA Dodgers/LA Chamber of Commerce panel on Sports Technology, and the 2014 Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Panel on the “Art of Negotiation in Sport.”

Through his extensive industry work, Mark has developed a deep professional network of leaders throughout all levels of sports & entertainment, many of whom appear annually during his Sports Business program at UCLA Anderson. He also serves on the international board of advisors for the European-based IBJA Sports Alliance Group.

Mark served Head Coach and Co-Coach for the Men’s Ice Hockey program at UCLA from 2010-2017 and won the 2017 PAC 8 Conference Championship. He was also selected as one of two finalists for the PAC 8 Coach of the Year Award for 2012 and was selected as Head Coach of the PAC-8 Selects at the ACHA National Championships in Philadelphia in 2011 and 2013 respectively. He also served a two-year term serving as the Associate Executive Director of the PAC 8 Men’s Hockey Conference. Mark also served as Head Coach for the University of New Brunswick Women’s Varsity Hockey program from 2004-2007 and holds 2 USports Canada National Silver Medals and 2 Atlantic University Sport Championships as an Assistant Coach with the University of New Brunswick Men’s Ice Hockey program (1999-2004).

Dr. Mali Heled Kinberg has expertise in foreign film sales and distribution with more than 10 years of experience in the foreign side of the film business. After obtaining her M.A and B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa), Kinberg attended Cambridge University (St. John's College) on a Thouron Fellowship where she completed a Ph.D. in English Literature with a dissertation on James Joyce and Virginia Woolf. She ran the international division at Mandate Pictures for six years, overseeing the sales, financing, delivery and foreign distribution of approximately 10-12 films per years, including box-office successes such as Juno and The Grudge. For the past five years, Kinberg has been EVP, head of international at Media Rights Capital (MRC) in Century City and has worked on such films as Seth McFarlane's summer blockbuster TED, starring Mark Whalberg; Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno; George Nolfi's The Adjustment Bureau, starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt; and Neill Blomkamp's Elysium, starring Damon and Jodie Foster.

Jae Goodman is CEO of Observatory Marketing (Formerly CAA Marketing), jointly backed by Stagwell Media and Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Observatory provides corporate clients with strategic and creative solutions that leverage the power of popular culture to build brands and drive business results. Observatory clients include Activision Blizzard, Anheuser-Busch/InBev, Bonobos, Chipotle, Coca-Cola, Diageo, Esprit, GE, ModCloth and VCA. Past projects include work for Burberry, Dell, Dolby, GAP, LVMH, Microsoft, Neiman Marcus, Old Navy, QVC, (RED), Revlon, Umpqua Bank, Virgin and many more.

In the past three consecutive years Goodman has been named to Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business 1000, AdWeek's Creative 100, and Ad Age’s Creativity 50 list. In 2016, Goodman was elected to the Board of Effie Worldwide and selected as the inaugural President of the Cannes Lions Entertainment Jury.

Goodman lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children, where he serves on the Board of Trustees of St. John’s Hospital and is on the faculty at his alma mater, UCLA.

Beverly Macy is a recognized author, educator and thought-leader in emerging technology, social media, Internet of Things, big data and more. She draws on her experience as author, educator and industry expert on the evolution of digital media and emerging technology to help organizations, brands and individuals build effective business strategies to succeed in the new business climate.

She is the host of the popular business podcast Social Media Radio and the co-author of The Power of Real-Time Social Media Marketing, a critical best-selling business book for understanding social media to help businesses grow and succeed with new communication capabilities. The book is now used in over 20 universities and is on the shelves of many corporate libraries.

Macy is an educator in executive marketing courses for the UCLA Extension business administration and management programs and Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She is a respected professional speaker on real-time social media strategy, big data and analytics, and marketing and branding. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies such as Toyota, the Walt Disney Company, Xerox Corporation, United Healthcare, Qualcomm, Boeing, Weber Shandwick and more.

She spent over a decade at Xerox Corporation, where she received top honors for sales and marketing efforts.

In May 2020, Edward Sabin founded Cypher Content LLC, a television production company, of which he is its CEO.

Before launching Cypher Content, Edward Sabin was the Executive Managing Director, International, at A+E Networks. Sabin managed all aspects of the company’s rapid growth activities and led business operations for A+E Networks’ international channels globally. As Executive Managing Director, International, Sabin oversaw all key relationships, partnerships, channels, program sales, and original production activities. In addition, Sabin was responsible for leading a range of global strategic and operational initiatives and teams, managing commercial policy and coordination on global ad sales and distribution, and evaluating and enhancing A+E’s global and local approaches to business functions. Sabin also ran A+E’s international digital strategy and business.

Before joining A+E, Sabin was the Group Chief Operating Officer for Discovery and TLC Networks, as well Science Channel and Velocity. In this role, Sabin had direct oversight for all strategy, network operations, talent management, research, and financial and business matters for Discovery's two U.S. flagships, Discovery Channel and TLC, as well as Science Channel and one of the fastest growing networks in the US market, Velocity.

Prior to joining Discovery in 2007, Sabin was with Fox Television Studios for seven years, where he served as Senior Vice President, Business Development and Operations, and, before that, Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs. At Fox, Sabin oversaw the business operations for domestic production groups, devised and implemented business models for international format production and distribution, oversaw the acquisition and formation of local production companies around the world, and structured the company's new media production business model.

Christopher Gebhardt is founder of Stir Strategy and Story, specializingin using storytelling to create impact and drive strategic thinking based on the neuroscience underlying both, and is also the founding president of the RandomGood Foundation which is dedicated to using storytelling as a catalyst for positive social and environmental impact.

Recent Stir clients include American Express, Pepsico and Qualcomm and the documentary Unlikely.

Diana Day has been in a notable figure in sports marketing and athlete representation in the United States for the past 16 years. During her career, she has played an integral role in the domestic and global brand strategy, creation, and execution for numerous athletes, including many NBA icons. She is passionate about not only building curated brands for athletes and influencers across the world, but also aligning companies and properties with the right celebrities to create authentic and dynamic partnerships. For nearly 12 years she was a Principal at Landmark Sports - a premium, full-service sports management and marketing firm for elite NBA players. Prior to Landmark Sports, she worked for Athletes First, a premium NFL representation firm, and SFX, a global sports marketing and management agency. In 2017 Forbes named Diana as one of "The World's Most Powerful Sports Agents," making her the first female to ever be named to the list. Diana earned her bachelor’s degree at UCLA (where she was a member of the UCLA Women's Waterpolo Team), and her Juris Doctor at Chapman University School of Law.

During his 20-year career, Bill has established himself as a respected expert in athlete marketing and personal brand management. His work with icons such as Clayton Kershaw, Yao Ming, Steve Nash and Christian Yelich has in many ways helped set the standard for athlete marketing. By helping clients build, maintain and protect their brands, Bill’s approach increases client marketability, raises brand awareness and increases long-term revenue. Bill believes the key to effective talent marketing is the formulation of a long-term player brand strategy, which includes a substantial commitment to community involvement, media relations and social media plans, and the pursuit of appropriate corporate partners. Bill previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at BDA Sports Management and as SVP of Athlete Marketing at Excel Sports Management, where notable clients included Blake Griffin, Danica Patrick, Derek Jeter and Kevin Love. John MacDonald is Senior Vice President, Programming for Tennis Channel where he is responsible for securing broadcasting rights for global tennis tournaments including the ATP, WTA, Wimbledon, U.S. Open, Australian open, and Roland Garros. Prior to joining Tennis Channel John was Senior Vice President, Women and Lifestyle Networks for Corus Entertainment in Toronto where he ran a portfolio of 14 cable networks including HGTV Canada, Food Network Canada, and W Network. John has spent the last 25+ years of his career working in television and venture-backed new media start-ups for various companies including OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, MTV, Veoh Networks, Scripps Networks, Fox Television, and the William Morris Agency.

Born in Edmonton, Canada, John is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and the Harvard Business School. John was an instructor at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business Administration form 2012-14, where he created and a course on the Future of TV. John is married to Tracey (Ahrens) MacDonald and they are the proud parents of Griffin (25) who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3.

David Ravetch has been a UCLA faculty member for more than 30 years. Well recognized for his passion for teaching, he has received numerous teaching awards: UCLA accounting students voted him Favorite Accounting Instructor, and students campus-wide voted him Most Recommended Instructor. In the spring of 1995, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants' Committee on Accounting Education awarded Ravetch its Faculty Merit Award, which recognizes excellence in teaching.

When Ravetch first began teaching at UCLA, the current Undergraduate Accounting Minor was in its infancy. In the fall of 1995, the Accounting Minor became the first approved minor at UCLA. Today, the UCLA Anderson Accounting Minor is recognized as one of the strongest undergraduate accounting programs, and its graduates are heavily recruited by international accounting firms.

Ravetch has always been focused on the success of his students, both academically and professionally. He is currently using a new method of teaching Intermediate Accounting, utilizing a cutting-edge case study format that helps students better understand financial statements, as well as how to develop research, presentation and evaluation skills that enable them to be more effective in their professions.

In addition to his love of teaching, Ravetch has a passion for music. He plays the piano, guitar and clarinet. He has written many musicals for children and about the public accounting profession that have been performed at the annual UCLA Accounting Awards banquets. He has developed a series of lectures that illustrate how well-known classical themes are used in film, television, pop music and Broadway shows.  He also gives pre-concert lectures for the Los Angeles-based professional orchestra New West Symphony.
