Academic Offerings
This MBA social impact specialization allows students to build expertise in a chosen career, with a custom approach to learning about sector-specific challenges. It encourages students to graduate with core competencies, a common language and comprehensive understanding of positive social impact.
This interdisciplinary certificate program through the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (IoES) enables students to pursue coursework across campus and complete a capstone leadership project designed to solve a sustainability problem.
UCLA Anderson’s Applied Management Program (AMP) partners a team of MBA candidates with an organization to deliver strategic solutions to critical challenges through top notch analysis. The students produce a rigorously tested, professional-grade consulting report based on extensive primary and secondary research. The Center for Impact recognizes AMP teams that focus on impact areas, such as environmental sustainability, education and financial inclusion.
Anderson’s field study requirement is a real-world 6-month consulting project that places MBA teams to work around the globe. The Center for Impact provides tailored curriculum, workshops and resources to support students who choose to work for real clients on sponsored prosocial AMP projects. Students can build a fundamental base of knowledge of social impact concepts, theories and principles that help them navigate their clients’ greatest strategic challenges.

UCLA Anderson’s social consulting programs give MBA students the experience of applying theoretical concepts of business to real-world societal challenges. Student teams provide pro bono consulting in marketing, operations, nance and expansion strategy to address strategic challenges of mission-driven nonpro ts and social enterprises.
