Assessments

We require all incoming students to take our Math and Excel assessments, which were developed by UCLA Anderson faculty and staff. The assessments will test your familiarity with the basic underlying math concepts and Excel skills that you will use in your MBA courses and beyond. They are purely for your own use as a way to gauge your preparedness and are not shared with professors or used for any type of course placement.

If your assessment scores reveal that you need to do some preparation and you don’t already have a quantitative background based on your previous academic and professional work, we encourage you to invest in preparatory courses prior to the start of the program.

Health Insurance & Immunizations

Health insurance is mandatory for all UCLA students. All registered students are automatically enrolled in the UCLA Graduate UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP). The cost is included in your registration fees. If you have a private health care plan that meets the University's criteria, you can waive the insurance and fee online before your first registration payment deadline in the summer. Exact date to be announced.

Also, all newly-admitted incoming UCLA students must provide documentation of vaccination or immunity to certain infectious diseases. Deadline to complete this requirement will be announced in the summer.
