What’s Current June 2023

June 2023

Welcome to the June edition of our monthly newsletter, What’s Current, and congratulations to our 945 graduating students in the Class of 2023! We celebrated their commencement June 16 with a keynote address by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, which we share in this issue along with our commencement photo gallery and select social posts. In this issue, we also highlight faculty, students and alumni who are distinguishing themselves through their scholarship,
leadership and service. As we settle into summer, I want to wish all of you a happy 4th of July weekend! And if you’re looking for a good book to read, I recommend Your Future Self: How to Make Tomorrow Better Today by Hal Hershfield. Not only do we discuss the book in this issue, we also give you a sneak peek of what Hal will look like in 30 years!
