The Annual Festival of Light Brings Us Together

Vanshika Munjal (’24) started life in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand, the land of the Himalayas. “Every year, no matter where I am, I always make it home for Diwali,” she says. “This year was my first time away from my friends and family, and it had me feeling very homesick. To me, Diwali is synonymous with family, and I think I speak for every South Asian when I say that.” Pictured in red celebrating Diwali with her UCLA friends, Munjal is gratified to note, “Anderson left no stone unturned to make us feel right at home.”
