MSBA Analytics Symposium with Larry Braman, Director MSBA Career Services; Sasha Litman, McKinsey & Company; Tim Park, Sony Pictures Entertainment; Juliana Tsai, Dine Brands; Mike Thompson, Cedars Sinai Medical Center; Andrew Gottesman, PwC

Our corporate partners tell us that when it comes to analytics, they’re looking to hire a unicorn — that rare professional who can be a bridge between the data and business suites. That’s why the MSBA program sits in one of the top business schools in the world.

At the UCLA Anderson MSBA program, we are growing professionals who can perform powerful analytics and understand business well enough to convincingly communicate the data story to the non-tech business leaders who count on their insights. Our graduates assume leadership roles everywhere from startups to major corporations.

“Career Services at Anderson's MSBA has cultivated crucial relationships with tech companies that are known for extremely competitive recruiting. It has been so much easier to get face-to-face with these recruiters as a result of their efforts”

Career Services

"Career Services is more than resume and interviewing support. I see it as a highly personalized coaching engagement, where each student is a client with unique challenges and goals."

Larry Braman, Director of Career Services

The MSBA program invests in the people and resources necessary to deliver a level of career support that is rare among specialty masters programs.  This includes securing the leadership of Director Larry Braman, who brings over ten years of career consulting experience placing technology-focused individuals, and Manager Adrienne Antonio, who brings multi-year experience as both a recruiter and a corporate relations specialist at UCLA Career Services.

The Career Services team works closely with each student to craft and execute a career plan so they can land internships and full-time jobs in their targeted industries.  Additionally, we offer numerous career and professional development workshops with an emphasis on building the communication skills essential to confidently “tell the data story” to stakeholders across the business spectrum.

John Warlick (2021)

“When I entered UCLA's MSBA program, I had very specific goals for the next phase of my career that I wasn't completely sure how to accomplish. The MSBA career services team couldn't have been more helpful in the year that followed. Between one-on-one advising meetings, personalized job recommendations, and sessions covering topics like presentation skills, interview practice, and networking, I always felt sure I was headed in the right direction. In the end, I accomplished my exact goals, and I couldn't be more thankful”.
