The UCLA Anderson Center for Media, Entertainment & Sports is a leading institution for education, thought leadership and industry access. Our six-week Media, Entertainment and Sports Summer Institute is in person at UCLA June 21 – July 29, 2022. This program provides undergraduates and recent college graduates with a resume-worthy experience, as well as the skills and frameworks to pursue careers in these industries.

Program Fees

 
The program fee includes the course unit fees and supplemental curricular activity fees. This program offers four tracks, all of which carry eight quarter units of UC credit. Most courses that constitute Summer Business Institutes curricula charge an Instructional Enhancement Initiative (IEI) fee.

Below is a summary of the program fees and other additional fees that may apply. Please note that the non-refundable deposit ($350 for international students, $150 for all others) required for registration prior to the payment deadline is not an additional fee and will apply toward your summer balance. All fees are subject to change without notice.

**Summer-only visiting students, except visiting UC students, will be assessed a one-time document fee during their first summer term; returning summer-only students will not be subject to the document fee. The one-time document fee covers life-time academic and verification transcripts that do not require special delivery services.

Note: The  nonrefundable registration fee   will be required in order to reserve your space in the program. This fee will apply toward your summer balance.

2. Payment Deadlines

Full summer fees for Precollege Summer Institutes and College/Professional Summer Institutes are due no later than May 1 (5:00 p.m. PDT).

* If enrolling after May 1, payment is due immediately.

3. Withdrawal and Refund Policy

All Summer Institutes are refundable if dropped before June 15. You may still drop a Summer Institute between June 26 and the last day of the program; however, the fees are not refundable.

4. Financial Aid

UCLA Students

Financial aid is available to all eligible UCLA students, including students admitted to UCLA for fall quarter. To find out if you qualify for financial aid, complete the 2022-2023 FAFSA application at https://studentaid.gov/. The FAFSA must be submitted on or before March 2, 2022.

Complete a supplemental Summer Financial Aid Application, which will be available online beginning April 1, 2022.

Visiting UC Students

Eligible students from other University of California (UC) campuses may apply for financial aid at their home campus for summer study at UCLA. Please check with the financial aid office at your home campus for more information.
