LinkedIn (now owned by Microsoft) has ~600 million members globally and has become far more than just a social networking platform for business professionals. LinkedIn now has sophisticated features and digital products to help job seekers learn valuable information about companies, connect with fellow UCLA Anderson alumni, expand into new professional networks, access targeted job postings (it has more than 20 M active job postings), as well as gain access to skills training from LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com). LinkedIn members can also learn about employment trends and new industries, plus discover critical salary data for top global companies and startups.
Ross Henderson '93, LinkedIn’s Enterprise Relationship Manager, will discuss the features most important to UCLA Anderson alumni during their job search—and how to use LinkedIn to further their careers. Ross will share best practices on how to be discovered by recruiters and discuss ways to find meaningful business connections even when not searching for a new position.
