Wine Club at Anderson (WCA)

The Wine Club @ Anderson (WCA) brings students together through social, networking and educational events centered on a shared appreciation for wine. As one of UCLA Anderson's largest student organizations, WCA weaves a central thread through Anderson’s cultural fabric, creating spaces to celebrate oenology and foster lifelong fellowship.

Meet the Winemaker
These events showcase winemakers and wines from all over the world. Members can enjoy learning about these wines on campus while interacting with experts from various wineries. Past Meet the Winemakers have included Gallo, Medoc, Dalla Terra, Hazelfern, OneHope and Duckhorn.

All-Member Social
Sometimes a glass of wine and a smiling face are the perfect remedies for school stress. These social events occur throughout each quarter and are a great way for members to interact and explore the local community. Past all-member socials have included day trips to Malibu Wines, local happy hours and Wino Nights In.

Wine Education Events
Whether you are a sommelier or novice when it comes to wine, we host a variety of events to allow members to learn more about viniculture and the wine industry.

Partnership Events
Good wine is meant to be shared. Therefore, every year we partner with other professional, identity and interest clubs throughout Anderson to host fun events. Past partnership events have included an annual BBQ with the Latin American Business Association, a wine and paint night with Anderson Creative, a beach day with the Anderson Craft Beer Club, a four-course dinner with Anderson Eats and a hike and picnic with the Outdoor Adventure Club.

Santa Barbara Wine Trip
This event typically takes place in the spring. The board coordinates a day trip to visit some of the wineries in nearby Santa Barbara. Members get the opportunity to see the vines and taste the wines within a short drive of UCLA.

Napa/Sonoma Wine Trip
This event typically takes place in the winter quarter. The board coordinates a weekend trip to Sonoma or Napa to visit California’s famous wine country. Members stay at a local hotel, explore various wineries throughout the region and enjoy fine wine and dining.
