The UCLA Anderson Women’s Leadership Institute is designed for mid- to senior-level leaders, typically with five or more years of experience managing people and/or projects in a corporate, public-sector, entrepreneurial, or nonprofit environment. All leaders who wish to better understand women’s leadership challenges, or who are responsible for the career development of others are encouraged to attend.

Faculty

 
Martha Miller
Faculty Director, UCLA Anderson Women's Leadership Institute

"I want to make our participants really wise and really savvy about how to move through the organization in a way that allows them to make their maximum contribution."

Dr. Miller received her Ph.D. from Harvard University, where she was a Danforth Fellow, and taught at Yale University's School of Organization and Management for seven years before serving as assistant and associate dean for the MBA programs at UCLA Anderson School of Management. She is currently the editor of the journal Small Group Research and is an organizational consultant on cross-cultural communications and managing diversity.

Lori Santikian
Adjunct Associate Professor; Faculty Director, Fink Center for Finance and Investments

Professor Santikian holds a B.A. in economics and applied mathematics from UC Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. Her research is in the areas of financial intermediation, empirical corporate finance and organizational economics, and has been published in the Journal of Financial Intermediation. She has won the Citibank Teaching Award, as well as the MBA Teaching Excellence Award chosen by both the full-time and fully employed MBA students.

Jana Gallus
Associate Professor of Strategy and Behavioral Decision Making

"People respond to incentives — financial, such as bonuses, and nonfinancial, such as public recognition. I am intrigued by how we can design incentive systems that leverage people’s nonfinancial motivations, and evaluate their impact on organizational performance in the field."

Jana Gallus is an associate professor in the strategy group at UCLA Anderson. Her research interests lie in behavioral economics, strategy, and innovation, with a focus on recognition incentives and their effects on decision-making. She investigates how incentive schemes can be designed to enhance employee motivation and organizational performance in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors.

Iris Firstenberg
Adjunct Professor of Management and Organizations

Dr. Iris Firstenberg joined the UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2004. She specializes in strategies for creative problem solving and innovative thinking. She conducts custom on-site courses and seminars for organizations on the topics of creativity and innovation. Her sessions provide exciting, thought-provoking and practical strategies to help turn creative ideas into innovative business solutions.

Program graduates receive a certificate of completion from UCLA Anderson Executive Education.
