Henry Brandon '89

Henry J. Brandon, III is the Chief Operating Officer and a Partner at Nile Capital Group. Henry has over 30 years of experience investing, lending and structuring transactions for middle market companies including senior debt, mezzanine debt, equity and equity-like financings aggregating in more than $22 billion in deal volume. Henry served as a Managing Director at Vintage Fund Management and a Principal at William E. Simon & Sons, where he was responsible for all aspects of the private equity investment activities and served as the Chairman of the Board, led the business review operating committees as well as head of Nominating, Audit, Compensation and Special Committees for multiple companies. Henry also served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Leeward Islands Lottery Holding Company and was the architect of the firm's successful sale to a strategic acquirer. Henry graduated with a MBA in Finance/Strategy/Accounting from UCLA Anderson School of Management and an AB from Stanford University in Economics. He serves on, or has previously served on, several not for profit Boards primarily championing equal access for young people from underserved communities in education, financial literacy, sport and health and wellness including The Riordan Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind, The Haas Center for Public Service, The Advocates Foundation, the Anderson African American Alumni Association and is Co-President of the Stanford National Black Alumni Association. Additionally, he works as a volunteer for the admissions office. Henry has been a featured speaker at UCLA Anderson School of Management, Harvard Business School and Stanford University. He was a member of two NCAA national champion tennis teams while a student-athlete at Stanford.
