Charu Gupta is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. She is an applied microeconomist with research interests in the economics of innovation, firm strategy, and health care. Her papers examine intellectual property institutions and their impacts; the supply and demand of innovation; and the nature and size of portfolio effects for multiproduct firms. 
Gupta received her Ph.D. in Managerial Science & Applied Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She also holds an M.S. in Health Care Management from Wharton, an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an A.B. in Economics (with honors) and International Relations from Brown University.
