Product Manager – Technical at Amazon
Culver City, CA

Congratulations on your graduation! What’s next?

I’m starting at Amazon as a product manager, overseeing the third-party seller platform on Amazon.com. I interned on this same team last summer and I’m excited to work with everyone again. I’m also thrilled to stay in L.A. with many of my Anderson classmates.

When you started at Anderson two years ago, what was your plan?

It’s fun to look back at my application to Anderson. I mentioned pursuing product management at Amazon post-grad, volunteering with the Parker Career Center and Easton Technology Management Center, and making as many friends as possible at school. The past two years flew by, and I’m happy to say I was able to do all of this and more, thanks to the Anderson community.

Was there a class, experience or involvement opportunity that was a highlight during your time at Anderson?

Every Thursday, Anderson hosts AnderNoons, a weekly gathering for the entire school with food and drinks. It was always my favorite way to catch up with friends and meet classmates. One of the best AnderNoons was the International Food Festival. More than 15 identity clubs came together to serve their home countries’ cuisines. It was amazing to see so many different cultures highlighted at one event, especially when over 30% of our classmates are international.

What lesson or piece of knowledge you learned at Anderson has stuck with you, as part of personal and professional life today?

It’s all about building strong teams. I was fortunate to join a creative and driven BCO [Business Creation Option capstone] team to which everyone brought different skill sets. We were able to launch our food delivery platform from 0 to 1 in a matter of months, thanks to our unique backgrounds and collaboration. This experience was extremely valuable for all of us going back to the working world.

What do you think makes Anderson different from other business schools?

“Share Success” really is the foundation that resonates with the entire Anderson community. Everyone is super ambitious in their classwork and career goals, but at the same time will support each other in any way possible. I spent countless hours mock-interviewing with my classmates, even though we were applying for the same roles. Anderson students have an 'abundance mindset' and are confident that helping each other will bring good fortune and karma in the long run.
