Senior Specialist, Global Vaccines Marketing, Merck

Congratulations on your graduation! What’s next?

I’m relocating to the Philly area for my new job as a senior specialist in global vaccines marketing at Merck. As an intern there in the summer of 2021, I developed the global access strategy for delivering a new cough drug in Merck’s target markets. I also conducted a landscape analysis of digital health mobile applications across the EU and U.S. to make the case for a companion app to drive the company’s competitive advantage.

When you started at Anderson two years ago, what was your plan?

My goal was to pivot from operations analytics to global strategy, marketing or business development. I wanted to kickstart a globally focused career.

Was there a class, experience or involvement opportunity that was a highlight during your time at Anderson?

Two things:

1)The inaugural John R. Lewis Racial Justice Case Competition I entered my first year, when my team ended up in the top 12 out of 100+ teams.

2) The Ethics in Business class I took my second year, taught by Bill Cockrum.

Both really helped me visualize how I could build a better business world.

What lesson or piece of knowledge you learned at Anderson has stuck with you, as part of personal and professional life today?

Anderson has really taught me the importance of finding your tribe. When you’re surrounded by people who value the same things you do, share similar goals and want to see you thrive, the opportunities for individual and collective growth are endless.

What do you think makes Anderson different from other business schools?

The community! Anderson was so incredibly community-oriented, and my peers went above and beyond to share resources and invest in each other’s success.
