Lizzie Azran is pursuing an MBA at UCLA Anderson with an emphasis on finance. While at Anderson, Lizzie joined Avante Capital Partners, the largest women-owned private credit and equity fund in the U.S., as an Associate Intern.
Lizzie also serves as a portfolio manager through the Anderson Student Asset Management fellowship, where she is one of twenty students using quantitative strategies to manage $1M of the UCLA endowment. Furthermore, she is a member of the Investment Finance Association, Women in Institutional Investments Network, and 100 Women in Finance. Previously, Lizzie spent her career working in operations at technology companies such as Lyft and Bird. She received a B.S. from New York University and is passionate about empowering women to enter the financial services sector.
Evan DeDominicis (’20)
Evan DeDominicis is pursuing his MBA with a focus on private equity at UCLA Anderson. Evan spent the past summer and fall quarter interning at Century Park Capital Partners. During his first year at Anderson, he interned at a growth equity firm.
Prior to Anderson, Evan was the Manager of Corporate Development and M&A at Univar Solutions, a leading global chemical and ingredients distributor. At Univar he was responsible for due diligence and execution of acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures. Previously he worked as a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. Evan received his MS in finance from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and his BA from Williams College double majoring in math and economics.
Emily Dinino is pursuing her MBA with an emphasis on social impact at UCLA Anderson. Prior to Anderson, she was the Finance Manager at New Classrooms, an ed-tech non-profit in New York City. She started her career in investment banking in the Technology, Media & Telecom group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Emily is currently an MBA Associate intern at Rocana Ventures.
At Anderson, Emily holds leadership roles as a Director of Venture Capital in the Entrepreneur Association and a Director in Anderson Venture Impact Partners, a student-led impact investing fund. Emily is also a Forté Fellow and Deutschman Venture Fellow. Emily graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Economics.
Alexander currently serves as the Director of Corporate Development for Progress Software, a NASDAQ-listed leading infrastructure software and DevOps vendor based in Bedford, MA. At Progress, Alexander is responsible for sourcing, executing, negotiating and integrating mergers and acquisitions, which are essential elements of Progress’ business strategy. Prior to Progress, Alexander was a Manager on the Corporate Development & Strategy team at Ingram Micro, a leading global IT distributor based in Irvine, CA, where he led M&A and strategic initiatives across all business units and numerous geographies.
Alexander is pursuing an MBA in Finance and Global Management from UCLA's Anderson School of Management and holds a BS in Finance and Economics from Babson College.
Trent Ketterer (’21)
Trent Ketterer is pursuing his MBA at UCLA Anderson. Prior to Anderson, Trent was an Associate at Spitfire Capital, a long/short, small cap value hedge fund based in San Francisco. At Spitfire, his responsibilities included evaluating new investments, financial modeling, due diligence, and monitoring existing portfolio companies. Trent started his career in investment banking in the Technology, Media & Telecom and Equity Capital Markets groups at Wells Fargo Securities where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financings.
At Anderson, Trent holds a leadership role within the Investment Finance Association and is a recipient of the Jeffry and Kristin Brown Distinguished Private Equity and Alternatives Fellowship. Trent received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and is a CFA charterholder.
Brian Liu is pursuing his MBA with a focus on Private Equity and Entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson. In the fall, Brian interned with Strandview Capital sourcing, evaluating, and executing Growth Equity transactions, as well as supporting fundraising efforts. Prior to Anderson, he was an Associate at Ares Management Corporation, a global alternative investment manager based in Los Angeles. At Ares, he worked in the Corporate Finance and Accounting group on various projects including corporate acquisitions, process improvement and redesign, system implementation, and automation. Brian began his career at GlobeOne LLC, a financial inclusion and technology start up as the 6th employee, leading fundraising and business development, conducting due diligence, and corporate finance.
At Anderson, Brian holds leadership roles as the President of Section D, Director of Allyship for Women’s Business Connection, and is a Director for Anderson Admissions Corps. Brian received his BA in Economics from Emory University.
Daniel McLaughlin is pursuing his MBA with an emphasis on finance at UCLA Anderson. He is a Vice President at Yellow Point Equity Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, where he is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, executing transactions, and overseeing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Yellow Point in 2016, he worked in investment banking and project management.
Daniel is a member of the Investment Finance Association, and he involved in a leadership capacity with the Association for Corporate Growth. Daniel received his B.A.Sc. with distinction in civil engineering from the University of British Columbia.
Michael Richards (’20)
Michael Richards is pursuing an MBA at UCLA Anderson with an emphasis on finance. Prior to Anderson, Michael spent five years working at a Los Angeles-based, business-to-business software-focused private equity firm where he was responsible for the deal sourcing and qualification efforts of the firm’s lower-middle market fund.
Michael currently serves as the Director of Corporate Development and Agency Partnerships for a fast-growing digital marketing agency where he oversees the deal qualification, due diligence, transaction execution, and integration of strategic acquisitions.
Aaron Stoppelmann ('21)
Aaron Stoppelmann is pursuing his MBA with an emphasis on strategy and operations at UCLA Anderson. Prior to Anderson, Aaron worked at Gridiron Capital as an Associate for three years where his responsibilities included evaluating and executing middle-market private equity investments as well as working with existing portfolio companies on a variety of value-added initiatives. Prior to Gridiron Capital, Aaron was an investment banking analyst at Rothschild & Co. in their New York office for two years focused on providing M&A advisory to corporate clients and financial sponsors within the industrials sector.
At Anderson, Aaron has a leadership role in the Investment Finance Association. Aaron received his B.B.A from The University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where he graduated with High Distinction with a focus in Finance and Accounting.
Michael Troy is pursuing his MBA with a focus on private equity and entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson. Michael spent the past summer at NOVA Infrastructure, a NY-based private equity firm, evaluating and executing middle-market investments in the telecommunications industry. During the school year, he interned at TELEO Capital, a software and technology focused private equity firm in Los Angeles.
Prior to Anderson, Michael worked at Lincoln International as an Analyst in the New York office, where he analyzed investments for private equity / debt, BDC and venture capital clients. Michael received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Business from Wake Forest University.
