Events

Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most prominent festivals on the Chinese lunar calendar. We invite the entire first-year class to join the celebration and enjoy some mooncakes with your newfound family.

Lunar New Year Anderson Afternoon
In partnership with AMSA and the KBSA, we bring the UCLA Anderson community together for our annual celebration of the Lunar New Year. During a winter-quarter Anderson Afternoon, we transform the North Terrace into a sea of red with a wide array of celebratory activities and culinary treats.

China Days on the Job (DOJ)
The GCBA organizes a weeklong career trek in the Greater China region, which provides students an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about companies in a variety of industries, explore employment opportunities and connect with local alumni.

“Way Beyond Campus Recruiting” Career Panel
We welcome anyone with career interests in the Greater China region to this panel discussion. Second-years who successfully navigated the recruiting process will share their experiences and the resources available.

Alumni Dinners for Eight (D48s) and Webinars
We connect students and accomplished alums, either in a D48 setting for those in Southern California or through webinars for those elsewhere. These are unique opportunities for networking, career advice and thought-provoking dialogue.

Wilbur K. Woo Greater China Business Conference
Co-organized with the Center for Global Management (CGM) and the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at UCLA, the Wilbur K. Woo Greater China Business Conference brings together successful U.S. and Chinese leaders, investors and influencers who share their perspectives on the changing dynamics of U.S.–China relations, new and creative investment strategies and partnerships, technological innovation and the importance of cross-border collaboration.
