Crypto, Central Banking & Digital Currencies: Are They Transformative Inventions or Market Mass Destruction Deja Vu?
What will regulation bring to the wild west of cryptocurrencies? Why are the prices of cryptocurrencies volatile? Will the world be working with multiple media of exchange? If the U.S. goes to the digital dollar, what are the international implications? What are the issues surrounding property rights and cybersecurity in a digital currency world? The December 2022 UCLA Anderson Forecast will explore cryptocurrencies, central bank digital currencies and will examine whether they’re transformative inventions or market mass destruction déjà vu. This conference will be held in collaboration with the Fink Center for Finance and features two expert panels.
