Why do I need a UCLA Anderson alumni login?

Many parts of the alumni website  are password protected and are exclusive to alumni.

What are my login credentials?

Your login credentials are:

USER ID: First Name (space) Last Name   
Example: Joe Bruin. If you are unable to login make sure you use the exact name when first registered as a student.

PASSWORD: Last 4-digits of your social security number or your 9-digit student ID number.  
Example: 1919 or 123456789

Lifelong Email Forwarding (LEF) Address

Why do I need a Lifelong Email Forwarding (LEF) Address?

Your Lifelong Email Forwarding (LEF) address is a forwarding alias. Any email sent to your LEF is forwarded to a personal email address (or preferred email address) that you designate. It is essential to have a separate, active email address associated with your LEF address. 

All alumni have a Lifelong Email Forwarding (LEF) address, which includes your First Name, Last Name and year of graduation. For example: Joe.Bruin.1976@anderson.ucla.edu

How do I activate my LEF or update my email address?

Navigate to Alumni Directory and click the Update Now button at the center of the screen. Login using your alumni login credentials. Please Note: Any changes made to the preferred email address may require up to two days to take effect.

Your login credentials are:

I tested my LEF by sending an email to the Anderson forwarding alias, but it did not work. Why?

Please note that you will not receive messages if you use your preferred email address (designated for LEF) as a sender. For self-testing, please use a different email account from your preferred email address as a sender.

Alumni Profile Update

How do I update my alumni profile?

To update your profile, navigate to Alumni Directory and click the Update Now button at the center of the screen. Login using your alumni login credentials.

I can't update my name in the Alumni Directory myself. How do I make changes to my name? 

Contact alumni.office@anderson.ucla.edu to let us know of your request. Use subject line "Alumni Directory Name Change Request" and provide your current name (as displayed in the Alumni Directory) as well as the changes you would like made.

How do I search the Alumni Directory?

Navigate to Alumni Directory and select the Search button. Login using your alumni login credentials to view the Alumni Directory search page.

I received an email bounce back or "permission denied" message. Did my message get delivered?

Email bounce back: Senders to a list get bounces when an invalid email address is subscribed to the list. The message you send is received by all other subscribers. Bounces should be sent to: alumni.office@anderson.ucla.edu

Permission to post denied: Make sure that you are subscribed to an email list before you send a message.  To view the lists you are subscribed to, navigate to Alumni E-mail Lists for more information. Login using your alumni login credentials.

How do I log into my alumni profile? My login isn't working.

Please ensure that you are using your alumni login credentials and not the Anderson account you had as a student.

How do I set up my Lifelong Email Forwarding (LEF) address?

Will I be able to send out from this email address?

The LEF is a forward-only address so you won't be able to send out from it.

What is my email address going forward?

It will be the same as when you were a student, in the format firstname.lastname.gradyear@anderson.ucla.edu.

My LEF has been turned on. Why can't I receive emails?

Your LEF is not active until your student email account is purged. If emails are not being forwarded after the purge, please check the LEF to ensure it is set to the desired preferred email address. Send a message to your Anderson email address from an email account that isn't your preferred email address.

Do I have to archive my emails?

You only need to archive your email if you want to keep your previous emails. However, archiving your email must be done before your student account is purged.

Will I still have access to library research databases?

No, UCLA and Anderson subscribed database access is removed after your student accounts are purged.
