Anderson Onboarding: The Training Ground for Your MBA

 
Every adventure requires careful preparation to ensure success. That’s why we have constructed the Anderson Onboarding experience to immerse you in the values of the UCLA Anderson community, provide rigorous early academic training, and deliver focused career preparation to help you master recruiting.

Onboarding 2024

 
We are committed to providing you with all of the tools and experiences you need for a meaningful and successful Anderson experience. Onboarding takes place from the start of UCLA summer session C through the start of the fall quarter, from Monday, July 29 to Wednesday, September 18, 2024. During Onboarding You can expect to be busy throughout the day from 8am to 5pm PT, Monday through Friday. You will be participating live in academic classes, review sessions, and career-related and other departmental programming, as well as social and networking sessions. We will keep you up to date on your next steps through weekly emails from Student Affairs and via our internal web portal for incoming students, which will launch in May 2024. We’ll ensure that you have the latest updates so that you are always well-informed and prepared!

Onboarding programming will be focused on three key areas:

Academic Preparation

You will take your first three courses during Onboarding: Foundations of Inclusive Leadership, Managerial Accounting, and Organizational Behavior. 

Career Development

The Parker Career Management Center will deliver the summer session of its signature Parker Career Series, plus a suite of other programs and resources to help students in their initial career exploration and research. In addition, students are expected to fully engage with Parker during the summer to begin their preparations for recruiting activities in the fall.

Community Engagement

This is the fun stuff! We will make sure you know everything you need to know to be a fully-fledged member of the Anderson community. You’ll bond with your section mates, meet our second-year students, and become a part of what makes Anderson truly unique. In addition, your Anderson Onboarding Committee (AOC) is working on developing robust, fun ways for you to meet and mingle and develop relationships with each other and with the Class of 2025.

MBA Student Affairs
