Through a wealth of exclusive-to-MSBA events, you will engage with analytics experts from nearly every imaginable industry including tech, entertainment, sports, finance/fintech, consulting, health care, consumer products, retail, manufacturing, logistics and more.

Industry Seminar Course

In this 20-week course curated by Career Services, a different company’s analytics team takes over the class each week to share how analytics is being applied in their industry, company, and team. Student teams then work on a company-provided data challenge and present their recommendations to our guests. A lucky group of students joins these analytics leaders after class for a private dinner! 2023 lineup included Google, McKinsey, Microsoft, TikTok, Dell, Paramount, Airbus, Capital Group, BCG X, Juniper Networks, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and ID.me.

Industry Nights

Supported by Career Services, student teams recruit and moderate live industry-specific panels of analytics leaders followed by a networking dinner for students, panelists, and their analytics and recruiting colleagues. Occurring four or five times throughout the year, industries typically include tech, entertainment, finance/fintech, consumer products/e-commerce/retail, health care, and consulting.

Company Treks & Visits

This Spring MSBA conducted its first-ever company trek to the San Francisco bay area visiting HQs of firms such as Google, Intuit, Wells Fargo, Tesla, and LinkedIn. Students had one-on-one conversations with high-level executives and practitioners from each of these firms gaining an understanding of what it takes to be a successful member of such teams and organizations, whilst building their own network. 2023 lineup included Google, Intuit, Tesla, LinkedIn, Wells Fargo.

Career Curriculum

The majority of our 10-week Career Curriculum instructors are MSBA alumni and other analytics experts from companies like Intuit, LinkedIn, Google, and BCG X. They know what industry demands, and teach topics such as Analytics Case Interviewing, Data Storytelling, SQL and Technical Interviewing, and Analytics Project Management.

Business Analytics Symposium

Our annual “All-Anderson” event including a multi-industry panel followed by a networking lunch exclusively for MSBAs. 2023 panel included Bain & Co., Google, PayPal, Team One/Saatchi & Saatchi, and MagicLinks.
