The Advanced Technology Management Institute (ATMI) provides DBE suppliers with leading edge skills and approaches designed to help their leaders understand the technologies and innovations that are increasingly changing the business landscape and the business prospects of all market participants. The goal of the program is to put DBEs on the forefront of new technology to produce value for their customers.

Participants

 
The participants will be selected from California's most successful DBEs and will be limited to the very top management from the 8-10 firms per year who will be invited to attend this innovative institute. Selected firms will send teams of two individuals, one of whom must be the CEO or President. A third executive such as the Chairman of the Board of directors may be asked to participate in the concluding module as a way of deepening engagement and accelerating commitment to actionable change and results relative to an agreed-to technology.

Curriculum

 
The ATMI will be structured as an executive training program with a curriculum that addresses the needs of customers as well as prime and second-tier suppliers who could also work with DBEs. Particular attention will be paid to the strategic importance of innovation and technology.

Topics include: Strategic Thinking, Emerging Technologies, Strategic Partnerships, Value Chain Strategy, Venture Capital for Emerging Technologies, Managing Supply Chain Innovations

The program will consist of 3 modules. Modules include lectures, workshops, panels and speakers.

Mentoring

 
The mentoring between the DBE firms, the instructors and the sponsors on the technology project is a unique relationship that lasts beyond the formal part of the program. Faculty will work with participants as they evolve and accelerate their businesses through technology. We recognize that there is a learning curve and will see you through the program each step of the way.
