UCLA Anderson recognizes the significant need for on-campus space for effective collaborations among entrepreneurs, researchers and students across disciplines. The Anderson Accelerator, launching in 2015, is a 10,000-square-foot incubator for nascent UCLA startups. UCLA is one of the few universities in the country with world-class schools of business, law, engineering and medicine, along with a teaching and research hospital, all on the same campus, and the accelerator will offer a central meeting place for UCLA’s multidisciplinary communities to pool resources and work in partnership.
Housed in the same building as the business school’s Rosenfeld Library, the accelerator features 24/7 wireless equipped co-working space for as many as 45 people, a presentation area with state-of-the-art audio/video capability, small- and medium-sized conference rooms, copy and printing facilities, a kitchen and access to UCLA Anderson’s research librarians.
The space will be open not only to aspiring Anderson entrepreneurs, but also to students who will partner with campus researchers. The facility will host guest speakers, topical seminars and “demo days” for resident companies.
