We are very excited to share with you an upcoming volunteer opportunity that you can participate in this holiday season! 

Join Anderson Women on December 14th to create beautiful and friendly “Welcome packets” for new clients at La Casa de las Madres. The group will be developing journals and writing encouraging messages and putting informative resources together during this event. While we will not meet actual clients of the organization (for privacy reasons), we will be given information about how the organization achieves its goals while helping them provide a great service to the community.

La Casa de las Madres is an organization working to bring an end to violence and abuse among women and youth in the San Francisco Bay Area: "At our San Francisco Drop-In Center, we support women and families in both emotional and practical ways, as they heal from trauma. We believe that the first meeting is very crucial in building a relationship with our clients. For that reason we want to create a packet with resources and encouraging messages that women can safely bring back home. By creating a “Welcome packet” clients feel the warmth of our Drop-In Center and are provided with additional forms of support."
