Trading in Military Careers for Careers in Technology
The transition from military to civilian life can present obstacles. After completing their respective military service, veterans Bryce Luken ('14), Mike Benedosso ('14) and Andrew Lee ('16) decided to pursue their MBAs at UCLA Anderson. They arrived at UCLA equipped with valuable skills like discipline, work ethic and teamwork but lacked core business competencies and knowledge. "My classmates acknowledged that I was a veteran and respected me for that, but it was never what defined me," says Andrew. Today, their post-MBA resumes boast experience from tech startups and larger organizations like Google, LinkedIn, and Microsoft. Read more about how they made their transition to the tech industry.

Images and stories are incredibly powerful tools. On the heels of the recent racial injustice events, the NAACP and CBS Television established a landmark partnership to develop and produce diverse and inclusive content. On October 23, hear from Darrell Miller, the attorney who spearheaded this initiative, in conversation with Center for MEMES' Jay Tucker ('09), to discuss how the partnership came about, the opportunities it will create, and how the resulting programming and content will shape perspectives and drive conversations around critical issues to advance the fight against racism.
