MBA Field Study Funds Housing Developments for
L.A.'s Homeless
When Aaron Sassounian ('19) and Greg Comanor ('19) pursued the business idea Neighborhood Works through Anderson's MBA field study Business Creation Option (BCO), they didn't know if it would in fact become a viable business. What distinguished the proposal was that the team was particularly creative in navigating complicated regulatory channels. Earlier this month, they received news that they landed $23.8 million in public funding to develop permanent, supportive housing for vulnerable residents in L.A. JWGLA Awards Will Honor Ariel Investments'
Mellody Hobson
UCLA Anderson is pleased to announce that Mellody Hobson, Co-CEO and President of Ariel Investments, will be our 2019 John Wooden Global Leadership Award recipient. Named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People, Mellody is responsible for firm-wide management for Ariel, an organization focused on making investing accessible for everyone. Outside of work, Mellody's passion is rooted in financial literacy and investor education. The awards gala, which will also recognize students who demonstrate leadership excellence with fellowships, will take place on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Learn more.
