Mellody Hobson Inspires All to Be Brave
"Speak your truth, whatever it is. Be patient. Be brave." To an audience of 600+ at the John Wooden Global Leadership Awards dinner on December 2, Mellody Hobson shared the tenets that has guided her career at Ariel Investments, leadership roles on high-profile, corporate boards and efforts to drive impact on causes she's passionate about. In conversation with long-time friend Jeffrey Katzenberg, Mellody discussed her distinct approach, encouraging people to "embrace the idea of seeing differences. Instead of color blind, go into the subject matter that is very difficult and be color brave."
