Faculty Insights | Access Faculty Research with UCLA Anderson Review

“One of our most important strategic goals for UCLA Anderson this year is to amplify the relevance and impact of our faculty’s wide-ranging research. Through rigorous and inventive scholarship, our faculty are advancing the knowledge and understanding of critical opportunities and challenges affecting business, society and our planet today. To make this important work more accessible to our students, alumni and business professionals, we are launching a new digital publication, the UCLA Anderson Review, that will explore and highlight current faculty research. We will be adding new content to the Review weekly in the hope that you will return again and again to gain valuable insights and explore practical applications of our faculty’s stellar research.”

—Judy D. Olian (Dean and John E. Anderson Chair in Management) & John W. Mamer (Faculty Chairman)

Each month, leading journalists report on UCLA Anderson faculty’s newly published research and most provocative working papers in UCLA Anderson Review. Morrison Family Board Room – A Gift Born from Friendship and Admiration

Born from a close friendship with UCLA Anderson’s benefactors Marion and John Anderson, UCLA Professors Don and Sherrie Morrison are honoring their friend, the late Marion Anderson, with a substantial gift towards the forthcoming Marion Anderson Hall. The Morrison Family Board Room will be part of the state-of-the-art, 64,000 square foot facility that will serve as the hub of student life, slated to be completed in early 2020.

“Over the years, she became one of our dearest friends. We just enjoyed spending time with her,” says Don. “We admired her so much. You combine all of this, with me as a professor, Sherie as part of the community and our two daughters with MBAs, and with such great colleagues here, including Dean Judy (Olian) — what else could we do?” The Morrisons also made a generous gift of $10 million to launch UCLA Anderson’s Morrison Family Center for Marketing Studies and Data Analytics in 2015.
