Families
“Moving to LA with your spouse and two-month-old baby to start a new adventure at business school would make anyone feel outside of their comfort zone. However, in the case of my family, the Anderson community immediately enveloped us with warmth and friendship, alleviating any feelings of trepidation. Our Anderson family has become a source of support and love while we have been here. It has been amazing to see my family feel included and loved in all things Anderson—from on-campus activities to off-campus meet ups, everyone at Anderson has become an extension of our small family.”
— Daniel B. Folsom (’24)

Resources for Families with Children
UCLA Youth Program
UCLA Recreation organizes a variety of youth programs for children of the UCLA community ages 18 months through 17 years. Recreation Youth Programs offer summer day camps, recreation classes, enrichment programs and year-round weekend activities. Visit Recreation Youth Programs for details.
Schools
For a list of local public and private schools, please visit the California Department of Education. You also may visit Los Angeles Unified School District for information on public schools in the area. Current Joint Ventures members also may be a good resource on specifics, so feel free to contact the club to be referred to another member with children.
Child Care
UCLA Early Care and Education (ECE) offers care for children two months to six years of age at three centers:
Krieger (Bellagio) Center
Located in the northwest corner of the UCLA campus, the Krieger Center is the biggest child care center on the campus
University Village Child Care Center & Kindergarten
Located in the University Village student housing complex. This service is available only to UCLA full-time students and UCLA paid staff and faculty. The center, through its Child Care Resources Program, also provides information on west-side child care providers and a small number of caregivers who will come to your home. In addition, the program will advise you how to evaluate a particular program or provider and what questions parents should ask to get the information they need.
