Several teams of graduate-level law, business, and real estate development students from UC Berkeley, UCLA Anderson, and UCLA Law compete in a simulated joint venture real estate deal. Teams must answer numerous questions posed by a hypothetical general counsel and investment partner, and work through both legal and business issues to prepare a final professional memorandum for review. The JV Challenge is an annual event that was organized and conducted previously by Pircher, Nichols & Meeks LLP starting in 2013.
