CEO of Maker Studios Ynon Kreiz ('93) Helps to Secure Another Disney Acquisition Deal

Ynon Kreiz ('93) and Bob IgerYnon Kreiz ('93) has a history of making deals with the Walt Disney Company. On March 24, it was announced that Disney acquired Maker Studios, where Kreiz is currently CEO, for $500 million. Kreiz also will continue to run the YouTube based video supplier, which receives 5.5 billion reviews per month from a 380 million-subscriber base. In 1996, Kreiz helped launch Fox Kids Europe, which eventually sold to the Walt Disney Company in 2001. Read more...

UCLA Anderson Forecast Predicts Employment Growth in U.S. and CA
UCLA Anderson Forecast

In its first quarterly report of 2014, the UCLA Anderson Forecast asserts that the harsh winter weather that ravaged much of the country caused slower than expected national growth in the first quarter of the year. However, the economy should rebound in the spring. Weather-impacted activities, such as factory production, automobile sales and construction, are expected to make up for time lost over the winter, leading to GDP growth in the 3 percent range. That rate is forecasted to persist through 2016, boosted by increased housing and business investments, as well as gains in consumer spending. Read more...
