Guy Kawasaki (’79) Delivers Commencement Speech 

 Guy Kawasaki (’79) delivered an inspiring and lively commencement speech to the class of 2012 in a ceremony on June 15.  Guy, one of UCLA Anderson’s 100 Inspirational Alumni  (link), is recognized for the breadth of his vision and impact as an entrepreneur, business leader, author, speaker, innovator and high-tech marketing guru.  Guy’s speech included his top 10 tips on how to succeed in business. Dean Judy Olian to visit Southeast Asia 

July 3 (Singapore) & July 5 (Bangkok) Dean Judy Olian will be travelling to meet with Anderson alumni in Singapore where Lai, Chong Meng (GEMBA Asia ’05) and Oskar Choynowski (UCLA ’98) will co-host a reception followed by a visit to Bangkok  hosted by Pimol Srivikorn (MBA ’89). The Dean will share an update on the school, including the most recent developments in the move toward self sufficiency.

TED  Case Challenge at UCLA Anderson    

TED, the organization dedicated to “ideas worth spreading”, joined forces in a unique partnership with UCLA Anderson to hold the first annual TED Case Challenge on May 31. First year MBA team GifTED, one of four teams of finalists that presented their ideas to a panel of judges, won first prize of $10,000 plus an internship with TED and a pair of shoes and sunglasses from TOMS.
