Members of Anderson Venture Impact Partners, UCLA Anderson's student-led impact investing fund, manage a real-life impact investment fund and make minority investments of at least $50,000 in early-stage ventures that have the intention of generating measuring social and/or environmental returns alongside financial returns. Under the guidance and mentorship of faculty, alumni and industry practitioners, AVIP members drive the full investment lifecycle from deal sourcing and structuring to portfolio monitoring and impact measurement.

First Investment in An EdTech
In June 2018, AVIP made its first investment in an EdTech firm focused on improving literacy for children in disenfranchised communities. The fund invested $50,000 for an equity stake as part of a $2 million seed round led by early-stage and impact-focused institutional investors.
