December 15, 2006

The UCLA campus and UCLA Anderson are closed from Saturday, December 23, through Monday, January 1, 2007. Campus facilities will re-open on Tuesday, January 2. This is being done to conserve energy.

During the Closure ...
The ONLY entrance to the complex that is open will be at the 3rd floor glass doors near Korn Convocation Hall; at level 4 of Parking Structure 5.  There will be a CSO desk there and ALL persons entering the complex must show valid UCLA identification (BruinCard) or photo ID, sign in and give their destination.  When leaving, you would sign out at that same location.  That one entrance will be open from 7am-6pm ONLY.  This is done for the safety and convenience of those who enter.

Please note that no Anderson services will be available. All administrative offices, Rosenfeld Library, Espresso Roma Café, ACIS, and Building Services will be closed.  There will be no mail or package delivery.  Very little or no custodial services will be rendered, so please do not leave any food trash in your areas.

For those who choose to brave the chilly temperatures in the complex, please know that electrical power, and lighting, data and phone service will be on.

However, there will be NO room heating or domestic hot water (restrooms) during the campus closure, so dress appropriately.  (The interior temperature is about 62 degrees or lower.)  Certain lighting in public areas will be turned off to conserve energy.  Do not operate any electrical space heaters.

Before You Leave for the Holidays ...
Make sure you turn off ALL office equipment (printers, copiers, computers, monitors, shredders, etc.) Make sure that all switched lights in your area are off.  It is not necessary to turn off refrigerators or fax machines.

Make sure your valuables are secured in locked drawers or cabinets before departure.  Never leave your spaces open and unattended.

  • If you have an emergency while on campus, dial “911” from any campus phone to be connected to the University Police.
  • If you discover a problem with the facility, please call the 24 hour “Trouble Call Center” at (310) 825-9236 (or x59236 from any campus phone).
  • If you need an escort to your car, please stop by the CSO desk in the Korn Hall Foyer or call 4-WALK for a CSO escort.

UCLA Anderson School of Management wishes you a safe and peaceful holiday!
