Professor Antonio BernardoLOS ANGELES -- UCLA Anderson Chairman and Senior Associate Dean Rakesh Sarin announced today that Antonio Bernardo has been promoted to the rank of full professor. Bernardo is professor of economics and finance at UCLA Anderson where he has held an appointment since 1994.

“Tony excels on all dimensions, including research, teaching, service and collegiality” Sarin said. “This is a well deserved promotion and we all feel proud of Tony’s accomplishments and offer our congratulations.”

Professor Bernardo received the 2004 MBA Teaching Award, the 1996 Dean George W. Robbins Assistant Professor Teaching Award and the 2004 Niedorf "Decade" Teaching Award.

His research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, information in financial markets, and asset pricing. Professor Bernardo has published papers in many leading academic journals including the Journal of Political Economy, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and the Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization. He is currently associate editor of the Review of Financial Studies
