Carla Hayn
Professor of Accounting; Accounting Area Chair; Ernst & Young Chair in Accounting; Program Faculty Director

Carla Hayn is a professor of accounting at UCLA Anderson School of Management and served as the senior associate dean for Anderson’s Executive MBA and Global Executive MBA programs. Hayn regularly consults with corporate boards on the financial ramifications of alternative strategies, as well as on disclosure issues in their financial filings and press releases.

Alfred E. Osborne, Jr.
Professor Emeritus; Co-Faculty Director, Corporate Governance Program

“My goal is simply to encourage people to get out into the traffic of ideas and collide with somebody with a different point of view.”

Prior to his retirement, Professor Emeritus Al Osborne, Jr. was Professor of Global Economics, Management and Entrepreneurship and Senior Associate Dean of External Affairs. He was also the founder and faculty director of the Harold and Pauline Price Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and served as UCLA Anderson's interim dean from July 1, 2018 to July 1, 2019. A renowned board authority and recipient of the NACD’s 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award, his research interests include the role of boards of directors in private, public and not-for-profit organizations.

Steve Zipperstein
Distinguished Senior Fellow, UCLA Center for Middle East Development; Lecturer of Public Policy and Global Studies, UCLA

Steve Zipperstein is a Lecturer in the Global Studies program at UCLA, and a Visiting Professor at Tel Aviv University Law School. He is also a Distinguished Senior Fellow of the UCLA Center for Middle East Development. During a 35 year legal career, Zipperstein has worked as a law firm litigator, a federal prosecutor and Justice Department official, and as a corporate General Counsel for BlackBerry and Verizon. He has been elected to the American Law Institute and named a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Program graduates receive a certificate of completion from UCLA Anderson Executive Education and can certify what they have learned by taking an optional certification exam at the end of the program.
