Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperin has challenged 29 teams of students to clean, analyze and report on a large, multiyear payroll dataset of 299,000 rows and 35 attributes. Teams representing all of UCLA Anderson's degree programs will compete to accurately predict 2018 payroll data and to make actionable recommendations to the city.
Friday's event will feature presentations from the four finalist teams to a panel of judges including Controller Galperin, UCLA Anderson Forecast Director Jerry Nickelsburg and Managing Director of Accenture Digital Analytics Manish Dasaur.
