I’ll be starting as an associate at CBRE Global Investors on its private debt team. I will also be working on developing a modular housing project for the homeless population in Palmdale, Calif.
I wanted to gain academic knowledge in real estate and grow my network within the industry in Los Angeles. I also wanted to gain a reputation among my classmates as “the real estate guy” and earn a full-time offer at a real estate developer in Los Angeles. Lastly, I wanted to build long-term relationships with my classmates and travel as much as possible!
Days-on-the-Job in San Francisco and Los Angeles was my favorite experience. I was able to explore careers in different functions of real estate, which helped me expand my career options. I was also able to enjoy my time in each city with my classmates.
I think Anderson does a great job of selecting students who care about the community and others. The school also does a great job of introducing students to businesses across the country, but specifically those on the West Coast, with its established reputation.
Anderson taught me that anything is possible with the help of others. I had professional goals before coming to Anderson, but I wasn’t sure how I would be able to achieve them. Anderson opened doors for me through its network and reputation that I may not have had access to otherwise. I am now a part of a powerful network, which makes me want to give back to those who will come after me.
