Postdoctoral Researcher

Position Description

 

UCLA is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to conduct research on sustainability and behavior change. The postdoctoral researcher will be hosted by the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (IoES) and the Anderson School of Management.

The candidate will work with Professor Magali Delmas, Professor Craig Fox, Professor Noah Goldstein, Professor Deepak Rajagopal and other UCLA professors.

The candidate will take a leading role in a research project funded by a grant from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) on Decision Drivers to Facilitate Lower‐Polluting Products Choices by Consumers.

Relevant disciplines are behavioral economics, cognitive and social psychology, management, marketing, organizational behavior, behavioral public policy, but others can be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with good writing skills as well as strong quantitative analytical skills.

Starting date is Fall 2020. Applicants should hold a PhD and strong demonstrated potential and interest to conduct research. The annual stipend will be $77,000 ($60,000 salary + $17,000 benefits). The position will be for 12 to 24 months. Anticipated start date is October 1st 2020.

Responsibilities: 

The postdoctoral researcher, will serve as project coordinator. Under the guidance of the faculty team, the researcher will conduct a systematic review, develop and conduct surveys, analyze data, design communication campaigns, and write the grant report and academic papers.
