Tyler Cantarano (’21)
Tyler Cantarano is pursuing his MBA with a specialization in finance - investment management at UCLA Anderson. He is a member of the Investment Finance Association and Director of the Anderson Investment Association.
Prior to Anderson, Tyler was an Investment Associate at Citadel LLC, a global alternative asset management firm based in Chicago. During his tenure at Citadel, Tyler focused on evaluating potential equity investments, performing extensive research and monitoring portfolio investments. Prior to Citadel, Tyler worked at Lexington Partners, a private equity firm based in New York. At Lexington, he focused on evaluating, executing and supporting investments across the private market. Prior to Lexington, Tyler started his career as an analyst in investment banking within the Financial Institutions Group at Barclays in New York. Tyler graduated from Duke University, where he received a BA in Philosophy.
Colton Pace ('21)
Colton Pace is pursuing an MBA with a specialization in finance – investment management and entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson. Before Anderson, he was an associate at Madrona Venture Labs investing in and building early-stage companies. Prior to Madrona, Colton worked for four years at Vulcan Capital on the investment management team. Colton graduated with honors from the University of Washington with a B.A in Information Systems.
At Anderson, Colton is a Director for the Investment Finance Association and is Director of Venture Capital for the Entrepreneur Association.
Caroline Ward ('21)
Caroline Ward is a Kayne Investment Management Fellow and Forte Fellow pursuing an MBA at the UCLA Anderson. She is a Director of the Anderson Investment Association and Anderson Admission Corps.
Prior to Anderson, Caroline worked as a fixed income associate for Travelers Insurance where she conducted fundamental investment research on corporate and municipal debt issuers for Travelers’ $70bn portfolio. She also passed all three CFA exams. Caroline graduated cum laude from Claremont McKenna College with a dual major in Economics/Accounting and Literature, where she was a seven-time All-American tennis player.
Jamie Wolf ('21)
Jamie Wolf is pursuing his MBA with a specialization in finance - investment management and executive development at UCLA Anderson. He is a Director of the Investment Finance Association.
Prior to Anderson, Jamie worked as a Senior Equity Analyst at the Haverford Trust Company, a quality focused long-term investment management firm. At Haverford, Jamie performed deep fundamental diligence on companies from a variety of sectors and was responsible for coverage of $1 billion in AUM invested in individual equities. Jamie earned a B.A in Chemistry and a B.A. in Economics, from Franklin & Marshall College, where he was a member of the Cycling Team.
Chris Lum (’22)
Chris Lum is pursuing his MBA with a specialization in Finance - Investment Management at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is a member and first-year director of the Investment Finance Association.
Prior to Anderson, Chris worked as a Senior Portfolio Management Analyst at PAAMCO Prisma, a liquid alternatives firm focused on hedge funds. At PAAMCO Prisma, Chris was responsible for coverage on fixed income and relative value hedge fund investments and helped manage and design fixed income solutions for institutional clients. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Business Economics. Chris is a CFA level 3 candidate.
Jamaal Powell (’22)
Jamaal Powell is a Kayne Investment Management Fellow, Toigo Fellow and Consortium Fellow pursuing an MBA with a specialization in Finance – Investment Management at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Prior to Anderson, Jamaal was an Associate at JP Morgan Chase in New York, NY where he worked as a Business Manager. In this role, he performed extensive research across asset classes, focused on market dislocations, performance attribution, and worked directly with senior leadership to establish and drive business priorities. During his tenure at JP Morgan, Jamaal covered Wealth Management, Sales & Trading (Fixed Income & Equities), as well as Private Investments. Jamaal is an alumnus of Howard University where he earned a B.B.A. in Finance and graduated with honors.
Joel Jones (’22)
Joel Jones is a Kayne Investment Management Fellow pursuing an MBA at UCLA Anderson with a specialization in Investment Finance. He is a director of the Investment Finance Association.
Prior to Anderson, Joel worked as a proprietary equity trader for Trillium Management, a dedicated trading firm based in New York. At Trillium, he managed a portion of the firm's capital across US equity markets with a focus on catalyst and order-flow driven trades. Joel graduated with a dual degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Vanderbilt University, where he competed on the varsity track and cross-country teams.
David Su (’22)
David Su is currently a full-time MBA student at the UCLA Anderson School of Management pursuing a specialization in investment management. He is a current First-Year Director for the Investment Finance Association and Director of Outreach for the Asian Management Student Association.
Prior to UCLA Anderson, David worked in Chicago as a Finance Manager at the Kraft Heinz Company responsible for the company’s financial planning and analysis activities, strategic development, and business operations. Before that, he served as an International Research Associate at Harris Associates where he conducted fundamental bottoms-up research on international equities for inclusion in the Oakmark International and Oakmark International Small Cap portfolios. David earned his BSBA in 2015 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with Distinction. David is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
