Andy Apple (’20)
Andy Apple is pursuing an MBA with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson. Prior to Anderson, Andy spent five years at JPMorgan in New York, most recently covering early stage software, hardware, and internet & digital media companies. He is currently an MBA intern at Wavemaker Partners.
Ermias Nessibu (’20)
Ermias Nessibu is pursuing an MBA with an emphasis on real estate and entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson. Prior to Anderson, Ermias worked at Pathway Capital Management as an Associate where he led new deal execution, conducting due diligence on and recommending private equity investment opportunities across various strategies. Prior to Pathway Capital, Ermias was an investment banking analyst at KPMG Corporate Finance where he advised middle-market clients on mergers and acquisitions within the business services group. During his tenure, Ermias also gained valuable transaction experience rotating through other lines of service, including KPMG's Strategy and Financial Due Diligence group.
Alec Dorman (’19)
Alec Dorman is pursuing an MBA with an emphasis on finance at UCLA Anderson. Alec is the Director of Private Equity for the Investment Finance Association and a recipient of the UCLA Anderson Merit Fellowship. In his first year, he joined Breakwater Investment Management as a Summer Associate.
Prior to UCLA, Alec worked as a private equity associate in the Los Angeles office of Sun Capital Partners. While at Sun Capital, Alec focused on new deal execution and due diligence across the consumer, business services, technology, and industrials sectors. He was also responsible for partnering with several portfolio companies and maintaining investment banker relationships. Prior to Sun Capital, Alec was an investment banking analyst at Piper Jaffray in San Francisco where he focused on mergers and acquisition advisory as well as debt and equity offerings in the consumer industry. Alec graduated from Claremont McKenna College in Los Angeles with a B.A. in Economics-Accounting.
David Frankel (’19)
David Frankel is pursuing an MBA with an emphasis on finance and entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson. Prior to Anderson, David served as a Senior Associate for ff venture capital, an early-stage, generalist venture capital firm based in NY. Among his many responsibilities, David led the firm's due diligence team evaluating 3,000+ investment opportunities every year and worked hand-in-hand with the firm's 70+ active portfolio companies.
Prior to venture capital, David served as a Senior Consultant in the NY-based advisory practice of Ernst & Young where he advised financial service companies through a variety of strategic and operational initiatives. At Anderson, David is a director of Venture Capital for the Entrepreneurs Association, the director of Alumni Relations for the Jewish Business Students Association and a recipient of a UCLA Anderson Merit Fellowship. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yeshiva University, with a B.S. in Finance. In his first year, David interned with B Capital Group.
Didrick Hajost (’19)
Didrick "Rick" Hajost is pursuing an MBA with an emphasis on Finance and Real Estate at UCLA Anderson. Before coming to Anderson, Rick worked for J.P. Morgan on their Corporate Derivative Marketing team in Los Angeles, specifically focusing on foreign exchange derivatives. Before J.P. Morgan, he spent four and a half years as an Army Ranger assigned to Third Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in Fort Benning, Georgia and served on two deployments to Afghanistan.
Before joining the military, Rick graduated with honors with a B.S. in Business Administration and Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California. Rick is currently the Vice President of events for the Anderson Real Estate Association, and the President of the Anderson Veterans Association. In the summer between his first and second year, Rick interned with Guggenheim Partners in their infrastructure and project finance group and upon graduation he will work in real estate finance and investment for the Irvine Company.
Pablo Osorio Martini (’19)
Pablo Osorio Martini is pursuing an MBA with an emphasis on finance and entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson. Pablo is director of the Anderson Impact Investing Fund, team lead of Anderson's team for the 2019 Venture Capital Investment Competition, director of social for the Latin American Business Association and member of the Investment Finance Association and Entrepreneurship Association. Pablo is currently working part-time as a Private Equity Associate at Pontifax Agtech.
Prior to attending UCLA Anderson, Pablo worked in the financial industry for 6 years, first focused on mergers and acquisitions across industries such as banking, insurance, healthcare, agriculture, and industrial manufacturing. He then joined the private equity arm of Megeve Investments, the family office of one of the major economic groups in Chile. As a Private Equity Senior Associate, Pablo participated in major investment decisions for companies throughout Latin America and built an expertise in industries such as mining, energy, forestry, real estate and salmon. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, where he earned his Master in Engineering and his B.Sc. in Engineering, major in Informational Technology.
