Technology Leadership Summer Institute Scholarship

 

The Easton Technology Management Center is proud to present scholarships to cover the program fee for historically underrepresented groups in tech who have demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to community service.

    Decision release date May 8, 2020
 

Eligibility

 

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Identify as a traditionally underrepresented student. 
  • Junior or Senior currently enrolled at UCLA. 
  • Applicant's cumulative grade point average must be at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants are willing to share their experience on campus and/or their community upon return.
  • Applicants must have demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to community service.

Scholarship Application

Submit your online scholarship application (separate from program application). Scholarship application must be submitted online and will not be accepted via mail or in person.

Copy of Unofficial Transcript(s)

Upload a copy of your unoffcial transcript to the online scholarship application.

Resume

Upload your resume to the online scholarship application as a PDF or MS Word document. Resumes cannot be emailed or sent separately.

Reference

Submit contact information of an academic or professional reference. Notify your reference that you have applied, as we may contact them directly. 

Essays

Applicants must respond to short answer questions (2) and one essay question. No preference is given in the evaluation process to applicants who submit a response to the optional question.

  1. Briefly describe your career goals (limit 250 words):
  2. If you could develop or use technology to solve a societal problem, what would it be and why? How would you solve the problem? (limit 250 words)

Essay (1): 

Please describe your background and/or how you overcame adversity as a traditionally underrepresented student. (limit 500 words)

Optional Essay (1):

(optional) Is there any other relevant information or circumstances that you want us to know prior to making our decision? (limit 500 words)
