Visiting Students Programs

For Visiting Exchange Students

Managed through the Center for Global Management, one-week exchanges conducive to working students’ schedules are offered over the summer with international partner universities that have international exchange agreements with UCLA Anderson. These courses are taught by UCLA Anderson faculty and are offered during the UCLA Anderson’s Executive MBA block week in August. Students are nominated by their home institution and must meet certain requirements, some of which are noted below.

Students visiting UCLA Anderson for the one-week international exchange enroll in two out of a possible four to six courses. Each course is 15 hours of class time. Students typically take one course in the morning and one course in the afternoon or evening. Students who participate in these courses at UCLA Anderson will be in class with students from UCLA Anderson’s fully employed, executive and UCLA-NUS executive MBA programs, as well as with students from UCLA Anderson's network of top international business and management schools. Visiting students from the partner schools must be currently enrolled students; have a minimum of 5 years of work experience; and have completed at least three terms, quarters, one year of study, or 50% of the course requirements of the degree program, whichever is greater, at their home institution before attending courses at UCLA Anderson, among other requirements. They must also be in good academic standing at their home institution and meet all the minimum academic requirements for graduate admission at UCLA which includes providing the necessary proof of English language proficiency and the required documentation upon nomination. For 2024, students must meet one of the following criteria to participate in the UCLA Anderson summer international exchange:

» TOEFL iBT minimum 79
» TOEFL pBT minimum 550
» IELTS overall band score minimum 6.5

Students who are nominated and accepted will be officially enrolled at UCLA, receive a transcript and must enter on an F-1 non-degree student visa. Each student must also ensure that they have the necessary health and medical insurance coverage sufficient to meet UCLA requirements, which is verified by a third party. These and other detailed requirements, together with important information, are shared with partner schools.

» International students who hold a bachelor’s or higher degree from a university located in the U.S. or in another country in which English is the language of instruction, or who have completed at least one year of full-time instruction at such an institution, are exempt from both the TOEFL or IELTS, and the ESLPE requirements.
