hardy mclain Hardy McLain is managing partner and co-founder of CVC Capital Partners ("CVC"), one of the world's leading private equity and investment advisory firms.  Founded in 1981, the CVC Group today employs some 250 people throughout Europe, Asia and the US and has secured commitments of US$50 billion from our investors and completed over 280 company acquisitions in Europe, Asia and North America.  Today CVC's funds are invested in 63 companies worldwide which employ over 400,000 people and generate combined annual sales of US$136 billion.

Among his current board directorships are Formula One, Samsonite HK, the Colomer Group and the Lecta Group.  Mr. McLain holds a degree in Economics and Public Policy from Duke University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from UCLA, California.  He now lives in London with his wife Helle and six children.
