NOTE: All alumni, students, and prospective students are welcome to this event. A ticket for CES is not required to attend

Anderson alumni and other business leaders on the forefront of developing innovative products and services will share their experience, insight and thoughts on the relationship and balance between innovation and data privacy. 

Moderator:

Terry Kramer
Faculty Director, Director of the Easton Center, Adjunct Professor of Decisions, Operations and Technology Management at UCLA Anderson.
A graduate of UCLA (B.A., ’82) and Harvard Business School, Terry has extensive technology and leadership expertise in the domestic and international telecommunications industry.

Harrison Tang
CEO, Spokeo 

Harrison is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Spokeo. Harrison guides Spokeo's product vision, building an experienced team that helps realize the company mission of making the world around us more transparent.  Under his leadership,  Harrison has helped build and scale our user base from zero to tens of millions of users.

Harrison earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics and a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.  

Kerry Edelstein
President, Research Narrative 

Anderson '02

Kerry Edelstein is the President and Founder of Research Narrative, a market research & insights advisory agency, where she recently completed an extensive original research study on consumer expectations in data privacy, data regulation, and the future of data economics. Kerry has advised dozens of renowned media and technology brands, including Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, NPR, Verizon, and Viacom.  

She graduated from the full time MBA program at UCLA Anderson in 2002 and received her B.S. in Biometry and Statistics from Cornell University.  

Dan Benyamin
VP of Data Products, Conde Nast

Dan is the founder and CEO of CitizenNet, one of the earliest platforms to leverage natural language processing, semantic analysis, and machine learning in order to predictively market to consumers on social media. Today, CitizenNet is the #1 platform for entertainment and branded content marketing on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. In 2017, CitizenNet was acquired by Condé Nast, where Dan continues as VP of Data Products. 

Dan holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles, and is the principle author of more than a dozen patents and scientific articles. 

Giorgi Chigogidze
CEO, Purlin

Giorgi is the CEO of Purlin, a startup led by Anderson alumni, using machine learning and "AI" to build homebuyer profiles, enrich real estate data from photos of home listings, and match buyers directly with homes (not real estate agents). Previously, he worked as COO to help build and lead a number of B2C businesses fueled by strategic partnerships, highly differentiating technology, and well-integrated data platforms.

Giorgi holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management (2004) and his undergraduate degree is from Georgian Technical University in Tbilisi, Georgia. 



 

 

Happy Hour

Location: The Still Restaurant at The Mirage

Time : 6:30 - 8:30 PM PST  


As soon as the panel is over, we'll walk across the gaming floor and network and socialize over drinks and nibbles at the Still, located in the heart of the iconic Mirage.

NOTE : The first 50 people to arrive receive a free drink ticket for happy hour.
