The Retail Business Association helps UCLA Anderson students develop knowledge of the retail industry and the various functions within the industry. The RBA, in partnership with the UCLA Anderson Morrison Marketing and Analytics Center is hosting our second annual Retail "Evolve" Conference . This day-long conference will be held on Anderson's campus on Friday, February 23, 2018. The conference is aimed at knowledge sharing and networking among students and professionals in the Retail industry. The conference will feature two keynote speakers as well as six interactive panel discussions, exploring the most relevant aspects of Retail today.
These LA company visits provide students with the opportunity to obtain first‐hand knowledge of an organization’s inner workings and to gain a deeper understanding of the core operations. This year, the RBA visited Reformation, Patagonia, as well as many others.
An ongoing series led by industry veterans to teach students about different aspects of the retail industry. Sessions often focus on industry trends, including e-commerce, omni-channel, influencer marketing and the future of retail.
The RBA career night is the key recruiting event for those students looking to pursue a career in retail. Representatives from leading retail companies interact with Anderson students interested in various job functions including marketing, merchandising, buying, strategy, corporate finance, and supply chain
AnderGlam is UCLA Anderson’s Annual Student Fashion Show & Cocktail Party. One of the premier social events of the year, Anderglam showcases fashion from various LA retailers to raise funds for Challenge for Charity.
During the trek, students visit a handful of retail companies located in New York. Each visit typically includes a company presentation, an office/store tour and a meet-and-greet with employees. Past participants have included Tiffany’s, Gilt Groupe, Coach, Baublebar, Theory/Helmut Lang, and Macy’s.

The D48 program provides students with an exciting opportunity to meet with featured guests in a smaller group setting that fosters interactive discussion. Last year, RBA members had an intimate dinner with the General Counsel of Dutch LLC (Joie, Current/Elliott, Equipment).
