Surf and Beach Club (SBC)

The Surf & Beach Club’s mission is to help students build lasting friendships while making the most of Southern California’s iconic beaches! SHAKA!

The club provides the opportunity to join students and alumni of UCLA Anderson from around the world in a unique surfing tradition unrivaled among top business schools. FAR OUT!

Any and all beach goers are welcome. Club activities range from beach days in Malibu to social outings in Venice. For those looking to learn to surf, the club hosts Surfing 101s at beginner friendly breaks in Venice and Santa Monica. For those looking to shred some serious gnar, the club charges some of Southern California’s most renowned waves at their heaviest. SEND IT!

Surfing 101s: Training sessions for beginners starting in the summer to learn fundamentals, gain familiarity with the water and become more comfortable surfing (Venice, Santa Monica)

Beach Outings: Surf sessions and hangouts at local breaks (Venice, El Porto, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Ventura, Newport Beach)

Surfing Immersion: Past activities include overnight trips to Crystal Cove, San Onofre and San Diego, as well as wipeout contests and ski/surf days

Major Trips: Excursions to Mexico and Central America
