Rising Debt & Financial Markets

The COVID recession of 2020 induced governments to enact historically large support packages funded by debt. Now as economies around the world work their way back to full employment, the support packages are gone, but new deficit spending has been proposed. How does this ballooning of government debt in the United States and around the world affect the outlook for economies for the balance of the decade? Three world-renowned experts on debt will discuss the issues as a companion to the rollout of the latest post-Delta surge economic outlook at the December quarterly conference.
