The Anderson Wine Club offers a variety of wine-related events during the school year, all designed to offer an enjoyable atmosphere for people to get together and drink wine.

CLUB TASTINGS

Club Tastings are theme tastings, designed to help people get their arms around the seemingly complicated world of wine.  For us, that means that we taste both by region and by varietal -- taking the mystery out of how Burgundy, Bordeaux, Cabernet and Pinot Noir all fit together.  Our first experiment with this format was the Champagne and Port tasting at the end of the last school year.  Click here to see what we are planning...

These are tastings sponsored by wineries that come to the Anderson campus.  Last year we had tastings by Kendall-Jackson and Cakebread.  This year, we hope to encourage more wineries to participate in our on-campus tasting program.

This year we are also planning wine-related getaways.  On tap for this fall is a trip to Santa Barbara.  For the spring, we may plan a trip to Chile and Argentina!

We are also working on one premium gourmet dinner per quarter for the 2000-2001 school year -- these dinners would feature professionally prepared meals paired with outstanding wines in LA area restaurants.
